In an instant

Christina and I were still soaking up the last of the sun getting ready to photograph a magnificent sunset, when a strong north wind brought in a fog bank of note. Within 15 minutes we were freezing and wet from the mist.

The Stars

I have always been fascinated by the night sky and after purchasing the right equipment, I began experimenting with night time sky photography.

The Macro World

When recently on holiday in Cape Town, I treated myself to a macro lens for my camera. Fortunately, ORMS in Cape Town had a second hand Sigma lens for a good price, so I grabbed it. Here are some of my earlier works.

Soap bubbles in the bath with a drop of oil, cropped and filtered.
Small fly on a leaf. The fly is about 3mm in length.

The TINY little flowers covered in water droplets.

The flowers of a Status plant.

These little flowers, no more than 5mm in diameter, are purple.
I put them through a colour filter and love this autumnal effect,

Wet webs. :)

Lavender.

Modified ear feathers of my African Grey.

Frosted glass.

Close up of computer screen.

Spears.

Running water.

Bee-lieve.

The outer edge of a Protea flower.

Seeds caught in a web.

Lichen on a twig.

Tiny moth, no more than 1cm in length.

Water flowing.

Enjoying playing with light

Welcome to my new page where I will be sharing my photographic adventures with you. I started a Blog a few years ago, then left it and have found myself back there again. I also recently closed my Facebook account and need a new platform to share my pictures, so here it is.

All photos in this Blog are taken by me and have no copyright. Share as you want. :)
